eSauti Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how Hachther Inc. doing business as eSauti (“eSauti”, “we”, “us”, “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on eSauti’s public websites (the “Website”) and related pages/portals (the “Service”).

1) What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Cookies help websites remember your preferences, keep you signed in, enable core features, and measure performance.

  • Enable secure connections between the Website and the eSauti portal (e.g., sharing session context and preventing fraud).

3) Types of cookies we use

A) Strictly Necessary Cookies (Essential)

These cookies are required for the Website/Service to function and cannot be switched off in our systems. They are usually set in response to actions you take, such as logging in or filling out forms.

Examples of what they do:

  • Keep you signed in (session cookies)
  • Protect against CSRF and other security attacks
  • Load balancing and request routing
  • Remember your cookie preferences (if you set them)

Website consent preference storage:

  • analytics_consent_v1 records whether you accepted or refused analytics. The website stores this choice in a cookie with a one-year lifetime and also in local storage.
  • Local storage persists until it is cleared or updated. The cookie and local-storage copy can be cleared through your browser controls.

Authentication and security storage used by a portal or connected service depends on that service’s configuration; the preference entries described here are not a complete inventory of portal session cookies.

B) Analytics Cookies

Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors use our Website (e.g., which pages are visited most, how users navigate). This helps us improve content, performance, and usability.

If you enable analytics, we may use Google Analytics (GA4).

Examples of data GA may collect:

  • pages viewed, session duration, clicks and navigation events
  • device and browser information
  • approximate location inferred from IP (depending on settings)

  • _ga, _ga_<container_id> (analytics identifiers)

C) Functional Cookies

Functional cookies allow enhanced functionality and personalization (e.g., remembering settings, language choice, or UI preferences).

Examples:

  • NEXT_LOCALE remembers the website language (FR/EN) in a cookie with a one-year lifetime.
  • colorScheme stores your theme choice in local storage until cleared or changed.
  • Portal or connected-service preferences depend on the service you use.

D) Security and Fraud-Prevention Cookies

These cookies help protect accounts, prevent abuse, and maintain platform integrity.

Examples:

  • Detect suspicious sign-in behavior
  • Rate limiting / bot protection indicators
  • Session integrity tokens

E) Cross-domain / Portal Linking Cookies (Website ↔ Portal)

Because eSauti may operate a public Website and a separate portal domain (e.g., www.esauti.ca and app.esauti.ca or tenant subdomains), we may use cookies to:

  • maintain secure authentication sessions;
  • support single sign-on flows;
  • share session context safely.

Important: Cross-domain cookies may be subject to browser restrictions (e.g., SameSite policies). We design these cookies to prioritize security (e.g., HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite settings).

4) Cookie duration

Cookies may be:

  • Session cookies (deleted when you close your browser), or
  • Persistent cookies (remain until they expire or you delete them).

We aim to minimize cookie lifetimes where feasible.

A) Cookie banner / preferences (recommended)

Use the website’s Privacy settings control to review or change your analytics choice. The website remembers the choice using analytics_consent_v1, as described above.

B) Browser controls

You can also manage cookies through your browser settings, including blocking or deleting cookies. Note: blocking essential cookies may prevent parts of the Website/Service (like login) from working.

Useful browser options often include:

  • clear browsing data / cookies
  • block third-party cookies
  • site-specific cookie controls

6) Analytics tool controls (opt-out)

If we use Analytics tool, you can opt out by:

  • rejecting analytics in our cookie banner (if available), and/or
  • blocking cookies in your browser settings, and/or
  • using analytics tools opt-out options (where available).

7) Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal. There is no uniform standard for interpreting DNT signals. We may not respond to DNT signals unless required by law.

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on our Website, and the “Last updated” date will reflect the latest version.
